My main concern in getting a new card, for example the Quadro 600, is that my current MB only has one PCI-E 1.1 slot.

If the new GPU is a true upgrade (rather than a stopgap measure) and is compatible with the new system, it'll stay, otherwise the new system will include a new GPU. Upgrading the system may be over a year away depending on economy and the local job market. The future will likely bring dual DVI monitors both running 1900x1200.ĪDDITIONAL COMMENTS: This will be a replacement of the current GPU to last until the whole system is replaced. MONITOR RESOLUTION: Currently running a two monitor setup: DVI 1900x1200 and Analog It would be great if I don't have to give up the analog monitor but it's not a requirementt.

For my purposes it probably doesn't matter. Trimble Terramodel software, is a powerful software package for the Surveyor, Civil Engineer and Contractor, who requires a CAD and Design package with integrated support for raw survey data. PARTS PREFERENCES: I don't have a preference for AMD or NVidia.

Also, it seems that many GPU's are getting more powerful and more efficient. Not sure about the PSU, however, I don't need a card that is significantly more powerful than the current one. Same results as with my sets - z value = 0. My Manifold dxf outputs are structurally similar to yours. I'm no expert in AutoCad, maybe there's a switch option I am unaware of that needs setting. I too have been unable to get AutoCad 2000 (also my old AutoCad v12) to pickup the z value of Manifold dxf exports.
